Group Therapy
I am located in South Dakota and I am certified and trained to provide online group therapy in South Dakota, Minnesota, and Florida.
Group therapy is for any individual interested in learning specific skill sets in a group setting.
A variety of different skills and therapy groups are offered throughout the year. When signing up for a group, you will be required to either pay in full for the entire cost of the group or make the first of three equal payments. The cost of the group depends on the number of weeks for the group. These are the group therapy sessions offered:
Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) Skills Group Therapy
Dialectical Behavioral Therapy is derived from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and is supported by years of research and evidence-based studies. DBT was developed and created by Marsha M. Linehan PHD. DBT is an effective therapy for a variety of mental health diagnosis and has been proven to be beneficial for anyone who wants to learn skills in the following areas: Mindfulness, Interpersonal Effectiveness, Emotional Regulation, and Distress Tolerance.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) Group Therapy
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy has been researched and studied for decades improving the effectiveness of its techniques to be able to rewire a brain’s thought process. Through practice and effort, a person can overcome automatic and negative thoughts through the utilization of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. It is a very effective therapy for a variety of mental health diagnoses including anxiety and depression.
Acceptance and Commitment Group Therapy (ACT)
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy is derived from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and is designed to enable a person to be able to accept circumstances in life that are beyond your control and live a happy and fulfilled life.
